Shady Grove is a public facility designed by hunters for hunters. Hunt pheasant or chukkar on over 900 acres of prime planned plantings of grain crops. Flight conditioned game birds are available to hunt twice daily. We offer fields of grain sorghum, cedar hedgerows briar thickets and open woods hunting. We can handle up to eight hunting parties simultaneously and often on short notice during the preserve season (September 1st until April 30). Water fowl hunts are conducted on wild birds and in accordance with Federal and state laws.

Requirements: Virginia hunting license of non-resident preserve license required.
Wild game (ducks and gees) may be hunted during the appropriate seasons but require the necessary stamps. Licenses are available at Shady Grove. A blaze orange article of clothing (min. Orange cap) is required. Waterproof boots are strongly recommended.
